Barrett-Jackson's flagship collector car auction comes back to WestWorld of Scottsdale in January. In 2027 it grows to nine straight days of live auction across two weekends, with more than 2,000 vehicles planned.
Tom Barrett and Russ Jackson, two Scottsdale car collectors, held their first auction in 1971 next to the Safari Hotel on Scottsdale Road, with cars from their own collections on the block. It was meant to be a one-time event. It drew about 3,000 people and became an annual one.
The auction moved to Phoenix Municipal Stadium in 1977 and came back to Scottsdale when the city built WestWorld. It has run there every year since 1989.
If being close to WestWorld, TPC Scottsdale and the rest of what happens up here every winter matters to you, I can tell you which neighborhoods put you there.
