WestWorld is Scottsdale's own event grounds. It hosts the city's biggest winter weeks, from Barrett-Jackson to the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, and doubles as parking for the WM Phoenix Open.
Also on the grounds: the Parada del Sol Rodeo, the Goodguys Spring Nationals, the International Motorcycle Show, the International Sportsmen's Expo, Maricopa County Home Shows, horse shows most of the year, concerts and trade shows. Check each event's own site for its next dates.
WestWorld is owned and operated by the City of Scottsdale, largely on federal land it leases long term. It was built in stages starting in 1987, and equestrian events have been its core ever since: Arabians, Quarter Horses, reining, cow work, jumping and rodeo. When the city built it, Barrett-Jackson came back to Scottsdale, and it has run there every year since 1989.
If living near WestWorld, TPC Scottsdale and the McDowell Mountains matters to you, I can tell you which neighborhoods put you there.
